I just feed it a higher signal till the GR is 1dB. When i tweak my A and boost 3 before compressor and then cut 3 after compressor, its the same thing as either going inside the compressor and 1) tweaking the threshold 3 more db and boosting the make up gain gain OR 2) boosting the input of the plugin and compensating with the make up gain again. have not demo'd the Softube version based on minor 'grumbles' and at some point bought the SKnote clone, but didn't love it.I guess we are saying the same thing with different words maybe?
